Based in New York, the Committee for the Blind of Poland has connected the Polish-American community to the blind and disabled of Poland. Born nearly 75 years ago in the post-war effort to rebuild the Laski School for the Blind, our Committee has grown into one of the oldest and most active Polish-American charities.

Our mission is to support the education, rehabilitation, and professional development of Poland's blind and disabled population, empowering each person to participate in their social and professional communities. Building on a tradition of compassion and cooperation, we are committed to continuing a legacy of service that bridges generations.

For over 75 years, the Committee for the Blind of Poland has helped finance the construction or rehabilitation of nearly 50 facilities which have helped serve the blind and disabled population of Poland. Through projects like our Ruda hotel and Stanisławowo farm, we continue to create opportunities for people living with disabilities to work, learn, and live with dignity and independence.

Today, the Committee continues its work as it adapts to new challenges. Every donation, every bequest, every partnership, and every visit to our facilities helps us continue our mission.

Established in 2022 in Ruda, our hotel is a modern rehabilitation and hospitality center. Here, we provide meaningful employment to the blind and disabled of Poland, and also a wellness retreat allowing guests to participate in their social and professional development.

Established in 2001 in Stanisławowo, the farm operates as an Agricultural Department of Professional Activity - a workplace and rehabilitation center designed to support the blind and disabled of Poland.

For over 75 years, our committee has completed many projects assisting the blind and disabled of Poland. Read about some of our accomplishments.
